Ponder Alone

I don’t know where I’m going…
But I know where I’ve been.
The path ahead is the only answer…
To forget all I’ve known and seen.

I have fallen and can’t get back up…
Screaming out, no one hears my cries.
I’ve Sunken into this black void…
Alone I ponder, and stay for a while.

I don’t think anyone will notice…
They never did when I was there.
No longer will I have to feel…
No longer will I have to care.

I just want to be numb…
I just want to float alone.
I pray with all my heart…
God! Please take me home!

Doing a romp through your pages, I like this one too. Especially the title. perhaps no one should ever ponder alone, we all need second opinions.

Hi, Derani. I followed these lines with great interest and concern. If these words are more than lines and characters on a page, I must say this: Someone indeed does take notice, and the beauty of life is to transition from 'The Ponder' to 'The Passage'. Much love and blessing. Curtis
