2026-05-21- Ponder Poetry Contest
Sponsored by: Constance La France
To ponder is to wander down fantasy lane Where dreams lead poets to poetry fame. Quote by poet. I often ponder how life would have been if I’d looks and grace of a beauty queen Would I be happy, would I have riches have my meals served upon silver dishes. Perhaps I’d have lived alike a princess wearing dresses of the absolute best With handsome suitors requesting my hand living dreams only found in fairyland. Maybe I’d have a chauffeur standing by preferably a humble, charming guy To take me shopping at the poshest shop where I could wander and shop till I drop. I ponder about jewels that I’d wear rubies in the tiara on my hair The glances I’d have when out and about and wonderful comments that folk would shout. Then I’ll stop pondering, come back to earth reminding myself I’m no special girl. * * *
