A pond of sunshine lays on top of the snow Between the wooded trees in a morning glow A colorful circle is beckoning me to walk Into snow-covered land, where wildlife talk The storm has passed, leaving beauty behind Now the sun rises, bringing more to find Heidi Sands 3/26/23

I love nature and writing about it like you. In your poem I can see a gentle large moose, a snow shoe hair and a red cardinal on your "pond of sunshine" It would be fun to illustrate this one. A chilly time of year, but words make it feel warm.

What a great idea. Yes, I can see those animals there too. Lately a baby bear is nearby. It doesn't have a mother. Many animals wander these mountain woods. Thank you for your kind comment :)

I don't experience snow where I live and have to trek quite a distance to other areas to experience it. Your poem made me nostalgic for past holidays. Nicely penned, Heidi. :)
