Political Rant

To the American people let me begin by saying That this is not a game we're playing This is not a contest of team vs. team And our reality is more than a meme See, we have this notion it doesn't matter Even as the wealthiest make their wallets fatter We slave away day after day after day While we receive less and less pay We think days off are a godsend But every day it is our soul we spend Losing bits and pieces here and there And they tell us to suck it up because they think it's fair And those who do care are silenced By chains and violence Our lives form the stairs to their riches But nobody ever mentions How we break our backs to get in that shape Wasting money on lottery hoping to escape And slowly we become cynical and lose hope So we turn to drugs and alcohol to cope Knowing it's not enough just to believe That our dreams are something we can achieve But we must all join the fight So that nobody is denied human rights And a way to make it on their own But still they phone it in even though we've shown We're not going to sit idle anymore While they get rich and we get poor Listen, this fight is ours for the taking Even if it's the establishment we're breaking Modern day slavery isn't based on racism It's based on classism and fascism But when you hear the ground shaking Know they'll assuredly be quaking We'll fight each and every disparity With revolutionary clarity
