Poisoned Dream
I still ransack
My entire recollections
For stray threads of our adore
And an innocent simper
On that delightful face
You bear.
I breathe your air
Inlaid in sinful
Melodies of our carnal want.
Maybe in the early hours
Of night
You’ll sink inside my feelings
And draw together
All my virtue,
Smashing it against my hurt.
It pains to see you wake and
Not lay next to my heart.
Perhaps I should disenchant
Myself from these poisoned
Dreams of you.
