Pointless

Write a poem with a Point, was the challenge
so I thought I'd give it a try
I thought about it for quite a while
but I couldn't and don't know why!

I thought I'd express my Point of View
whether folks liked it or not
but then I had to ask myself
"My Point of View about what?"

I probably should try to get to the Point
then that would make it O.K.
unfortunately that doesn't make too much sense
cause I just don't know what I would say.

So what is the Point to keep trying
it's useless at this Point in Time
if I were to continue this silly charade
I'll tell you Point Blank it's a crime.

Allow me to finally get to the Point
which is thankful, prudent and wise
this whole composition is Pointless
which, for certain, is not a surprise.

Smiles, great use of the given prompt - I like to take writing this direction myself from time to time... This takes you quickly through drawing your eye to the end to see where exactly it is going. Great use of rhme in this form. Well done and good luck for the contest, I think you make your point perfectly! Thanks for coming by today to comment also, appreciated! Anna-Marie.
