Point of View

The birds woke me, before I was ready
But I opened my eyes to stand steady
First thing I did, was look out the window
Although the sky was gray, there was a glow
An orange strip of sunlight, in a sunrise show
Revealing beauty, in what would seem a dim day
Hope has proven that it can find a way
To lift our spirits on any given day
So upon wakening, go ahead take a look
There will be beauty to steady all that shook
And when you seem to have that doubt,
Remember, the point of view is what it's about

what a beautiful poem... we must look to the beauty in every day given to us... it's rainy here so we have those same gray skies but the trees are starting to fill out and the spring flowers in bloom... good to see you writing poems :) hugs and blessings

Completely correct...You may cry because it's hard, unfair, unkind...but you can also sum the courage and realize there's is enough beauty around to smile...Nice one Heidi...Glad to see you here...

A lovely point of view Heidi--especially when you see the gray sky--the orange ray of light beyond is the way to look at life. Well said!

Thank you Edward. I still have breathing issues and chest pain. Cat scan tomorrow. They are trying to figure out if it affected lungs or heart, due to heart issues. I have a little more energy. I appreciate your support . Bless you. I am grateful. Have a nice day :)
