Poets, Keeping the World Awake

"My passion is to see poets' souls, brilliantly on fire!"... .P. Romios.

" Poets are the unacknowledged legislators of the world!" Percy Bysshe Shelley, romantic poet

Without us being phony politicians mucking about with pants on fire.
We cannot change things without the courage ourselves to see evil, write about it, and see it ends.

The silence is deafening as the media cheers on Communism wearing the deranged mask of Socialism.

One day, we may lose this right to be truthful as poets forever.
Stop hiding behind butterflies and flowers, as none will keep you free.
Patriots will cheer you on, do not worry about those who avoid you."

"A poet’s work is to name the unnameable, to point at frauds, to take sides, start arguments, shape the world, and stop it going to sleep."
— Salman Rushdie, award-winning writer

I agree my friend. Which is one of the reasons that I choose to write so much dark verse. We as humans and as poets, need to expose the evil, the darkness in this savage world. To reveal to the kids what exists and threatens us all. A fav. God bless.

I loved Rushti and Shelley. It's simply a matter of choice. Are we really going to put to with a repressive government or fight back. We can pen all kinds of poetry. Pure baloney.."I don't want to be political" Translation..."my freedom or yours does not count~ I must please the PS elites.. That's not poetry...that's cheer leader think! Like girls wanting a jocks jacket. Freedom is for adults. Hiding from being political allows our progeny to live in a no more America. F olks here unaware of Our close relationship with China. Worse than having Hitler for an ally. Iran knows we are now weak. Hence the attack... The attack on sexuality is a poem in itself..painting the USA as racist? Whites are bad? Baloney. Pangie.
