Poets from cradle to grave By Michelle Morris 04/11/2024 We all need poetry It's something our souls yearn for We may not even recognise it This feeling of needing inspiration For this world is awfully busy Filling itself with busyness People running here and there Not realising that this moment is a gift Maybe we need to slow down a little Maybe we need to slow down a lot Focus on the words and their spells The magic that they weave for you and me Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it a delightful place to be? There where the words and spaces meet Poetry that helps us feel complete Emotions and thoughts Feelings and sensory thrills Everything becomes possible again We are outside of space and time and will For we are pure energy and light Frequency and vibration and love We are magic and miracles and masterpieces We are starlight and stardust and joy Ah, we all need poetry It's something our souls desire deeply We are part of the Universe's story We are part of its inspiration Let's make this world quieter Let's make it calm and harmonious Let's make it peaceful and happy Let's make it loving and fun and glorious For we are the creators of the spells We are all magical blessings Poets from cradle to grave Beyond galaxies and stars and heaven © Michelle Morris, 2024
