poetry
à deux
for fun
you and me

I hold the pen
and write
a first word
you go next
say a word
any word
or phrase
any phrase
whatever comes
to your mind

we’ll go on
alternating
until we’re all done
then I’ll finesse it
and call the poem ours
a sweet collaboration
