Poetry Is a Legacy

Poetry for Mankind is a Legacy

As no one I know writes poetry 
In the hope of making money

But rather just to share a care
To encourage and to make aware
The reason we are all here

So those that follow us then can see
We only write our poetry
To leave behind a legacy

Well that is what works for me

I do hope though my words will be strong
Long after I have gone
To hopefully help the next generation along

As its their time to sing the song
To write their own poetry

In the hope that mankind and nature 
Can once again get along
