Poetry

I hate poetry.
                        Not because of the reasons you may think though.

I hate it because it makes me think
    about myself
    about the world
    about the condition of everything.
    
    All of the rhymes feel like a joke
I have no time to think about my life 
                                  and every time I do it makes me choke
                my words stumbling.
                                    
                                      But it never ends
   A poem never stops
It's just the pen that does.

The poem is very relatable and does a great job expressing hatred of poetry, and it does show some points.

This is so true. I can relate to the way poetry makes you think about all these different things and I hate when they get all jumbled together. Thank you Amelia for sharing this truth felt poem.
