Poetry
I grew up for poetry—
Mind wandering through words and meanings,
Wanting to touch everyone’s life.
Each word in a piece bounces differently,
Depending on the heart that receives it.
I scroll through shelves on social media,
Searching to see how many souls
Have stepped into my library,
And how powerful my words can be
In healing a broken heart.
I grew up to build a foundation
That will last for generations—
A voice thundering love, freedom, and unity.
I wish to stand before the world
And reveal everything that roams
In its darkness.
I grew up neither to be a man
Nor a woman—
I am simply a voice of change and truth,
A fly at everyone’s door,
Peeping at every foul smell.
Just like the wind that blows
Everything in its path,
I am the river that carries life
To the place it is meant to be.
