I’ve been enjoying writing poetry
Without melodies to get in the way
I’m not really sure but it seems to me
There are some muses you have to obey.
Step out of your box and try something new
Find something diff’rent to challenge your mind
Are you so certain of all you can do?
Do not hold to limits. Leave them behind.
Heaven alone knows just what may inspire
A mind or a heart to suddenly lift.
Think of the things that set your heart on fire
All the thoughts Yesterday gave as a gift.
I hope in the future others might see
Me smiling at them through my poetry.
