Native people seldom perform any task without an accompanying song. That was the first thing I noticed about Hawai'i, the people had lost their chants and songs! Aloha!

Mahalo, Rico! Yes, in the beginning, poems were written and then music were composed to sing them. It's good to take history classes in music... in different genres. Quite educational. Aloha!
