Yes indeed. Poetry activates important brain cells and shines light on the human condition with often healing words to be found when a poem is produced. Poetry I think speaks to those in need of solace. A gift from God. Best wishes froM David in NZ

Thank you David in NZ! Yes, poetry is definitely healing. I use it in a survivor's group. One of my sonnets Fatal Hand was published in the 2000 Quarterly Journal of the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Kelly Wallace of Ball State University used my poems Flight Plans and Trespasser in a Sexual Abuse Group as therapy hand-outs. They also published them in Australia in a group hand out. So yes, it is healing. Blessings to you.
