Poetic Pain Pill

Chronic illness isn’t for punks
You deal with pain feel drained
I wonder why my power failed
To heal myself be a miracle
I think it’s leftover trauma
I forgot in maroon mind
But body blues recall drama
So I will find a white way
To break the cycle of pain
And gain the keys to self help

So sorry if you are suffering with chronic pain. Hope you get relief; at least poetry is cathartic.

Dear Karen, I empathize with your expressions of pain, and I do hope that in some way it is healing. The mind is a great healer at times, but not always. In my pain and suffering, I wonder what I can do to help others, which gives me greater joy in life. Perhaps pain makes us better writers, filling our works with real emotions. From my limited perspective, it truly makes an impactful read to empathize with that pain and suffering. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, You are on my Prayer List, Daniel
