~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why chase rhymes? Penguins don’t. They plunge—black and white chaos— into brine. I sip lukewarm tea. Words aren’t anchors. Mother once said. They’re buoys. Let them drift. Let them drown. Watch what surfaces.

You're right, she was wise...she read the dictionary to me every night then quizzed me the following day on the words...she nurtured my love for words.
