Poet Ogden Nash

Here's a salute to Poet Ogden Nash,

Who was notable for being quite brash!

      He was much more wittier

         Than John Greenleaf Whittier,

            Concocting reams of clever balderdash!

love this wonderful limerick tribute that Nash would have surely loved too, Bob. I was so very sorry to hear of Vera's passing but she's at peace now, my friend

Thank you, Andrea. Nash is one of my favorite poets and writes witty nonsense which is right up my alley. I have nearly all his books in my personal library. Best always - Bob

Excellent limerick on Ogden Nash, Robert, and a fine compliment to his skill as a comic poet. I believe Edward VIII was a very distant relative to Henry VIII. Henry was eager to produce, Edward eager to seduce. Thanks for the stop, friend./ M

:) Yes, we studied Nash in school and I enjoyed his work, Bob. Love the way you rhyme "wittier" and "Whittier." Clever and funny limerick! Hugs, carolyn

Glad you enjoyed, Carolyn. I have many of his books in my personal library and continue to enjoy his creative wit. Glad you are able to see the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter from FL - especially when they are closest on 22 Jan. Bob

thank you Alexis. Go to your library and check out some of his books. He is the wittiest poet I've ever read - He'll keep you in stitches. I have many of his books in my personal library and read them over and over - Bob
