I came upon an intriguing french phrase: "Raison d'etre" which means - reason for existing . This age-old question has been pondered by humanity with the birth of consciousness and is a question that all of us ask repeatedly in our lifetimes in our search for who we are. My answer to this question is within this poem "POET". We are all alone in our worlds but constantly reach out looking for love to protect us, inspire us, and make us feel worthy, while we consistently express it as our identity through our art and humanity to other fellow humans, defining who we are. This poem is an abstract use of words that implies these sentiments with a sensual relevance and rationale that re-creates the mystery and loneliness in our search.
