Poem of Healing

So much fear So much pain Riddles my mind As memories of the past Come clear inline I use to white knuckle And hold on tight Until I found this place That showed me whats right Now I look at the past And those awful blues To finally get to a place That's full of truth I tell a close mouth friend Of my wrongful ways In hope to experience My higher powers grace Now with my past No longer all around I make amends To the list of people I found Explain my errors And how I am now To seek forgiveness And to heal old frowns At the end of my day I look at where I've been wrong To make sure I don't owe Any I'm sorry's too long Now closer to God I understand his work I seek out others like me To help them find self worth

Wonderful poem, Geoffrey, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
