I think it does, gw. And, I think we will never know the impact many of our poems have on others. That, I think, is why it is so important to read and acknowledge good poetry. OTOH, I hate when really poor, mean, and ungrammatical poetry is encouraged. I read all of the incoming poems, but I only write a note for those I think merit a recognition of sorts. It's such a pleasure to find a new poet now and then who is really good. Most recently I've been reading Michael Kalavik's poems. Outstanding.

It would cause me much delight, if your prediction turns out right. Although Milt, it's oft times said This doesn't happen until we are DEAD!

Ah, you never know, Shirley. You never know! I think some things I have written have made some kind of impact on someone while I am living. Gee, at least I hope so. And I suspect that would be true of you as well. Thanks so much for your thoughts on this.
