Notes About The Poem

Bite Size Poem No 75 Contest ~ Sponsor: Line Gauthier ~ 11/2/23

Pledge of Love

Romantic words spill from a poet's quill
Dreams of love in mirrored reflections
An unlocked chest, confessed to a swain,
purging what was buried inside her heart.
Sonnets filled with tender emotions
and a solemn pledge of love and devotion.

Such sonorous sounds when I read this out loud Lin. I especially like the rhyme in the last two lines. Thanks

I think a poem is at its best when read out loud, and by the author who can truly express its meaning

Thanks! Often, when a poem is read aloud it's so much more enjoyable, especially if the reader pauses at the right junctures.

Thanks, Danny. All is well and good with me. It's been a while since we've written a sonnet. Maybe one day you'll be up to writing and posting again.

Gorgeous! So much said using so few words. I posted a new poem. If you can find the time to read it I would love your feedback.
