Pledge My Loyalty

The King sent his Prince to steal my heart.
Charming as he was, he gained control.
He stole my heart.
Enslaved as I was.
He sent me on patrol.
To vanquish the Royal One.
The heart of one he knew he could never command.

I could not slay the beautiful Dragon Queen.
Mesmerized by the warm transcending glow
I refused to raise my sword.
I could not cut out her royal heart.
I bent my knee.
Pledged my loyalty.

She had me rise.
She can see in my eyes
He had stolen my heart.
My soul still remained.
She spared me.
She gave me a piece of her heart.

With her heart I grew strong.
I now share her magic.
She had given me a special power.
To know, to see, to feel.
A sensitivity to all that comes near.
Charms of darkness seem to stay clear.
Temptations always sent to fade away,

I feel her.
She is my guardian.
Guiding.
Whispering in my ear.
She is the voice in my head.
The love in my heart.
The strength to fight for all that is right.
