Notes About The Poem

Pleasure and Pain

Your love is my fragrant rose
Intoxicating senses
Permeating everything
I’m heady with want

These thorns cut deep in my flesh
Your beauty comes with a price
I press it close to my heart…
Your pleasure and pain

Really? I hope so! It was the last entry...I saw one spot open and I decided to write something real quick. Hope it does ok. How are you, Rick? I'm having my coffee and getting my fill of poetry before my day starts. I have classes from 8:00 to 12:00 back to back....then I have to rush home to cook for the family. It's going to be a busy day, but for now....POETRY. Hugs

Yes, Tim. There are limits though. If the relationship is abusive...then....it's got to go. Thanks for the visit.

Thank you, Emile. Though it was not intentionally sensual, I guess I cannot keep that element out of my writing! :) Thank you for the visit.

A beautiful work my enchantress. I know that these words are the truth, that there is always a price to be paid for true loves sake, else it be not real. Your servant my lady, Love Shane xxx

If the price is loss of self, Shane, then the price is too high. It is a lesson I'm learning....learning....learning....Thanks for stopping by.....Being called a Lady is always a treat, my dear. Hugs

Yes, my sweetie....everything worthwhile in life, needs time, effort, and love. If we would discard something with that first jab of pain...we would never hold on to anything...ever. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs
