Notes About The Poem

We forgive and move on, that is what love is. Every relationship has a few boulders in the way; one can choose to go around, over or through them. This was a boulder that rolled down off a cliff and I was completely unaware.  Prayfully the boulder came crashing by without any fatal consequences...
~ Peace

Please Stay

The vulnerability of love, pain, and the joy it brings
My bosom opened with no armor for a fateful blow
My life does not belong to me anymore, I forgo
It's autumn but will you still be here in the spring

You almost left without a word or even a jest
There is a pain in my heart you can only fix
My heart is tossing and turning each time it ticks
I love you still and always even through this test

I want you to be close and near yet I fear
You walked with me hand and hand as my wife
I have given you everything I have in this life
I want you forever and ever I made that clear

When you are near to me, my heart still sings
Hoping that all this pain will turn into pleasure
Making our love strong beyond one's measure
Enjoying our lives together with love and our rings
