Please Just Stay
Can I hold you
Embrace you for just one more minute
One more second
Please...
Because as I hold you I can feel all my pain
Go down the drain
I cannot find the reason why
But it all seems like it melts
Like the snow on the first day of Spring
You make it seem
As if all of my agony would go away forever
But whenever you leave
But then I grieve
When the feelings deceive
It seems like they have many tricks
Up their sleeve
Their nasty tricks should just leave
But how would you feel
When you can’t take the wheel
Because you don’t know which feelings are real
And if you don't know if you should peel
The protective shell
That you have fixed into your skin
Because other people have put you through hell
And at that point you can’t tell
Whether they will are nobel
Or will they impel
All their insecurities
Into your mind
Knowing their words will bind themselves
And restrain you
And then later reveal
Who they truly are
Can we make a deal?
That as long as you’re with me
I can believe
That I can be relieved from the pain
That others relinquish
I just want the pain to diminish
So just stay one more minute, one more second...
