Jesus, light of my soul Maker of joy, maker of hope Don’t ever leave me… Your presence is the stirring Wonderful insight, strength and assurance Peace that is all knowing, forever flowing With a kind word, a prayerful promise Gentle like the kiss of winds breaking Through the silence, igniting a fire Blessing a life with inspiration and satisfaction Jesus, creator of the world Wonder of the heart and soul Whisper of laughter, beauty and grace Maker of the sparkle in my eyes, my days Author of the story my spirit writes Please don’t ever leave me… Your charisma sings to my heart Rains down joy into my thoughts Caresses my feelings with gifts so tender Favors my dreams with soft serenity Jesus, reflection of His mercy Miracle of my heart’s belief, faith That rises inside my spirit, lifting Me, freeing me from all the darkness That surrounds me with sin, evil, iniquity All of the reasons I plead for my Jesus… Please don’t ever leave me… Your love is the reason I can believe Your light shines joy into my life You are the reason that I can see Through the shadows, into the grace That surrounds me when you are near me Jesus – the way, the truth and the life… Please don’t ever leave me… You are the answer to my prayers The miracle who is always there When I need you, when I plead with you You are the hope, the faith, the love Without you, I would never know The meaning of mercy… the way to peace The melody of joy singing beauty Through every dream, each idea, all prayer Jesus, you are the answer to my every care You make a way where no way could be found I just have to thank you for eternal life The saving grace that found me … When You came into my life… Burning away all pain and strife!
