Playing the Game Together
We all need assistance from time to time,
As we contribute to life at some time of day.
Our lives are besieged by drugs and crime,
And with adverse opinions others oft sway.
But this is not a time for relaxing our guard,
Or to be ambushed and become apathetic.
A peaceful solution will forever be hard,
Unless heart felt and not merely cosmetic.
Our world is filled with dissent and strife,
And daily, storms become harder to weather.
To survive and continue in this spirited life,
It's crucial that we learn to work together.
God says man's righteousness is as filthy rags,*
But as days are passing some scarcely look.
Thereby failing to recognize His warning flags,
We're one page nearer the end of our book.
