We forget that horrible burning sensation of our youth when our shorts-clad-legs hit that 102 degree slide! Thanks for the reminder.

Yep, and some kids aren't accompanied by their parents, which is an extremely dangerous thing these days.

Those poor kids, I'm sure some are out there when it gets hot like that Milton. I hope parents can protect and supervise when it gets hot like that...

I noticed them all but vacant today in 93 degree temps. I was lucky enough to find some shade and write a few poems before the heat drove me to return home. I wanted to visit the Ohio River but there was no shade! Thanks, Michael.
