Planetary Love

Your eyes shine like the Sun
My chance with you, small like Mercury
My heart, near you, burns like Venus
The tears of my weeping come from Earth

When I see you, I turn red like Mars
My desire to have you, the size of Jupiter
On your fingers, I would fit the rings of Saturn
But without having you, my heart is cold like Uranus
And I keep living, lost in your blue eyes, like Neptune

You are as beautiful as a nebula
When I look at you, I’m taken to another galaxy
While I get hypnotized by the light of the stars
I imagine us dancing, orbiting moons

A sadness consumes me, like a black hole
I feel empty, alone in space
For without having you, I am a lifeless planet
But my love for you prevails, beautiful like the universe

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
