Pirates Cove

Water wives live sheltered lives
Amongst the coves where pirates rove

Daily catch is makers match
Where red hot stoves hide fresh baked loaves

Water men are thick and thin
So often strove where shipmates hove

Water child is often wild
The treasure trove where pirates roved

Ohhhhh, Rick; I LOVE THIS! The first verse of every stanza is brilliant, but then, the whole thing is fantastic. This is going into my "fave poems" for sure and I am adding you as a favorite poet. You blow me away with your rhymes. Beyond excellent work you've penned here :) ~Chan
