pinky promises

It didn't end, like it started
Something that I've heard, like
“In losing what we once held,
We find the true worth of it”
It didn't bother me until now.

The thought itself was too heavy
Too heavy to live with, die with
I would live but death would take my soul
My soul as it was tied with yours
With you, I feel death could not do us apart.

But it was now in memory
Which we are forced to forget
I have loved you since forever
I love you now
I will love you forever,
Pinky promise.

PS: Pinky promises can never be broken. Ever.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
