This lovely lady posted a pic of her and some friends. She was dressed in pink polka dots. This poem is dedicated to her.
PINK POLKA DOTS
she wears pink polka dots
and a smile that bends the sun
reflections in a pool of friendship
a rumbling of powerful prayer
substantiated in a lilting voice -
God’s “flower power”
this petite saint
leans in and curves her ears
toward others
like a cup of coffee
amongst friends
but a much more powerful blend
as the Lord smiles
in the midst
her potency in the sanctuary
as one who bends her knees
so constantly
and raises the roof
with praising hands
never holding back
and with her
you can feel the presence of the spirit
the Holy Spirit
as he centers in on you
as if you are all that exists
in this universe of HIS
pink polka dots is contagious
her laugh, her smile, her walk
with the Lord
a mild and gentle mentor
a rock solid diamond
a heart of gold
