Piercing Our Hearts

Piercing Our Hearts

Countries are torn apart over our children.
Being physical, mental, sexual pained
Wounded, broken, watching dismemberments.
Their selfish taste of blood in the name of god
Violence against our women and children

The tide keeps growing in numbers of hatred
Attracting women and children guerrillas,
Who blow-up their bodies to kill innocents
Allah rewards their demise in Paradise

What do they see in these misguided doings?
Piercing our hearts with injustice of murder
We all suffer in the name of religion

It is beyond horrid that what they see is an END and the end looks better to them than the life they were given. Light & Love-Light & Love

Thank you so much for your response, Debbie. You are probably right their end looks better to them than the life they have been given. Debbie I took your advise on my "Menentos Gathering Dust" poem. I'm learning from your advise. Blessings dear friend

Well done, Eve...great take on this theme. No getting away from it...it's horrible and condemnable. No religion would condone such things. gl in the contest. // paul

Excellent pen Eve! I enjoyed your very caring and beautiful piece my dear friend. Very horrible what happens around the world, lots of lost misguided people using the name of God for evil and in the wrong way. Well its been like that sadly for centuries you know that.A 7 from me!
