Pieces of me
Like wind blowing through trees
Barren of leaves
In the winter of my dreams
Falling softly, like autumn thoughts
Caressing the earth
With exciting auburn, crimson
Colors of hope
Brilliant, vibrating, baptizing
The sensitivities
In visions, prose, poetry
Alive with those fragments
Of me, my dreams, my beliefs
Moonlight captures my faith
In its shimmering gaze
Reflecting God’s promises
On silent stars, trembling
Glistening, radiating
Joy – elated, jubilant
Like the wonder in the flakes
Freshly fallen awake
Snow blessing the day
In waves of sweet grace
Breathless waves
Seas of light and praise
Falling from lips who believe
His love has poured out
Blessings that cannot be caught
But only believed and received
His Son is the One we need
If we ever expect to agree
On the love that He shines down
From His gentle showers
Love that knows no limitations
Love that is alive, amazing
Silencing all the frustrations
Awakening creativity, sensations
Of peace, promise, purity
Feelings so blessed they strive to be
The cup overflowing
Inside of you and me
He is the answer. He is the peace.
He is the Creator and the Savior
He is the One I praise with every whisper
Each commendation, all acclaim
It is Him who I worship
With my heart and soul and spirit
It is Jesus I praise
When I whisper a prayer of adoration
It is Christ who I love
With a love that He designed
A love that is alive
Because He died and rose again
Providing redemption for every follower!
