Pictures of the Past

Pictures of the past,
dusty and forgotten with
dim faces, sounds, and places.
They suddenly appear
on the screen of my mind and
contrast sharply
with the reality of today,
which soon – oh so soon – becomes
pictures of the past,
dusty and forgotten.

A sad but honest truth. Tempus fugit. Thank you for the stop-by and why I don't write sonnets. Best to you. / M
