Pictures

Pictures are mirrors of the past.
Windows to days gone by.
A babe against her mother’s breast,
A steeple ‘gainst the sky.
Knights of old,
Handsome, bold,
Immortal on the canvas dry.
Forever to inspire men,
A creation of heart and hand.
Bringing a light of ages past,
into our lives so modern...fast.
Where oft we fail to see,
Oh picture! The beauty that thou hast.
