Listen to poem:
My dearest friend
You never fail
To trust my hands
As songs unveil
You do not judge
Or run away
I hope, have faith
That I will stay
For long enough
Until I prove
I want to lull
As hands I move
Then craft a space
When I'm alone
Where love can live
Through ears and tone
You bide your time
Let dust collect
I love you still
With full respect
When often life
Gets crowded in
The time we spend
Shaved down to thin
But here I sit
An urge to play
Your healing gift
I need today
