Physical Space

Although our eyes do not meet
And our hands cannot touch
Our spirits unite

With each word you speak
That I cannot hear
Or tear of loneliness
I cannot dry

I feel your love and passion
Reaching for my heart
Spanning the distance
That now is between us

But to have you near
Is to only remember
The sweet taste of your kiss
Or the softness of your touch

Our connection defies
The physical space between our hearts
As I am with you always
In my thoughts
