Photograph

On your lips an eternal smile captured
Your eyes are shiny with tears
Putting up a brave front.

The form Kimo attracted me to this SuZ. I read that this form of haiku originated in Israel and there tends not to be movement in the 3 lines. Well, there may not be movement but I was 'moved' by your skilled writing. It's quite an emotional piece and an accomplishment to put across such in so few lines: the subject's attempt to look happy when actually sad is described so well: smiling through pain and sadness - and maybe just relief to finally be able to express true emotions. Cheers - Gary

Very descriptive and expressive work about the photograph. It reads like someone has been going through a terrible time when this photo was taken. Thanks for sharing and for dropping by my page. Sara

Thanks Suzette: Candid Photos or snapshots are interesting to decipher particularly what emotions were going on,
