Photo Memoir

A treasured photo of a moment past
In which my arms a newborn baby lies
The love I feel now I hold her at last
As I gaze into my young cousin’s eyes

Her chubby face I utterly adore
Her little head upon my arm takes rest
Right now this baby’s all that I care for
As all I want for her is but the best

But now she’s grown and rarely quiet and still
Her thriving mind like budding flowers blooms
She talks and walks and climbs with brazen skill
Deep down I know her wondrous future looms

Whatever happens I hope she still knows
That she will always be my “Tiny Toes”

Ah. What an innocently beautiful tribute to your cousin!
