Phoenix rise from the ashes

Walking on Egg Shells Each step, a fragile whisper, Cracking beneath the weight of your gaze, I tread lightly through the shards of us, Every word a potential storm, Every silence, a noose tightening. You wore charm like armor, A smile that could disarm a heart, Yet behind it, shadows danced, Manipulation dripped like honey, Sweet but thick with poison. I learned to read your moods, A chameleon in a world of colors, Fearing the storm in your eyes, Dancing on the edge of your chaos, My own reflection fading, A ghost in the shell of our love. But today, I feel the sun, Breaking through the clouds of your control, Each piece of me, once lost, Now whispers of strength, A quiet rebellion rising within. I gather my fragments, Dust them off beneath the weight of your words, Shatter the mirrors that held me captive, Rebuild in hues of courage, Each heartbeat a step away from you. I’m shedding the skin of your design, No more a puppet in your show, With every stride, I reclaim my voice, The echoes of your laughter fade, As I step into my own light, A phoenix, not a shadow. I’m walking on my own path now, No more eggshells, no more fear, With every breath, I’m breaking free, Reborn in the strength of my own skin, And you? Just a whisper in the wind. KM
