Phoenix

I’m sorry for loving you too much
Or for not loving you enough.
I mistook your love for mercy, once
(I will not make that mistake again)
You are the only one who can,
With a single hand - a single word
Ruin me, and pull me from the ashes
And so I'm sorry
I'm sorry.
(but I wont burn myself out to keep others warm ever again)
