In silence, I now sit inside your room as doleful fingers strike piano keys, and beauty soars like roses, red, in bloom. The weight of life, your heart and mind, it flees. A sad, foreboding melody does loom. I muse as I remember times like these - just thirty-seven years on earth, not long. Tonight, I hear your sad piano song.

Oh David such a beautifully sad poem which is relatable to many. My dad died at 36... l never got to know him. I am sorry you lost Peter so young! Cuddles...Debx

My goodness, 36, way too young, and sad. Take care, Deb.

Thanks, this was one of my roommates in 1978 when I was 18. He was a nice guy, played classical piano, which I don't know much about. He played a piece called "Picture from an Exhibition" over and over, which I thought of as beautiful and brooding. I liked it. He died suddenly, with unknown cause, about 12 years later, which was sad.
