Petals of pain

On a clear, windy autumn day,
I watch the leaves and petals sway,
The blooming rose, once a symbol of love,
Now scattered petals, soft whispers of pain,
Swirling in the wind, leaving crimson stains.

Whether I am dreaming in day or night,
The rose petals remind me of your soft touch and beautiful smile,
Even now, the swirling petals, shine in somber daylight,
I am still looking for your love, in my painful plight.

A very evocative poem on someone who has gone away from your life like the withered petals of a rose. I can sense the depth of your pain. I am sure this is for Ink Empress's contest. All the Best dear friend.
