Petals
petals falling to the ground
i watch as each one drops
sadness steals into my heart
as the reminder comes
that summer is gone
this part of the cycle
has been completed
autumn is here
we are now waiting on winter
and as i watch the petels drop
i shed a single tear
to say goodbye to a old friend
then i turn away to greet
the returning beauty of
Fall.
