petals

We never made it to my birthday, but at least we made it to yours 26 days before mine, 11 after yours; I think my point shows Please give me closure or my question a little exposure How could you say those words with my effort wrapped around your wrist Your fingers intertwined with mine, the sterling shined so bright Unaware of the imminent surprise I was in for your surprising blight I love how we used to be, why did you have to change A shadow casts over me, raining the petals of daffodils Do you remember when I first came over, you refused to let go of me I didn't know it would be my last day, I should have saw the signs The only thing I could focus on is how many times you glanced at your door Please tell me why you wanted to leave, was it me? You were my four-leaf clover Why did you force me to watch you pick off your own petals I want to run through a field of your favourite flowers I’d do anything to be reminded of you, I’d do beyond to remind you of me If you catch me, beat me until I’m dead Lay me down to rest in a field what I love best I’ll rot and decompose, don't disturb my carcass If it's what you want, I’ll take a blade to my sarcous I’ll make sure my blood doesn't seep into your soil I can't go on I wish I was gone I’m losing my will to go on, as you always told me; I’ll be okay If our fields of flowers ever cross, I’d not hesitate to bring you a bouquet
