Pet Rocks Don'T Snore

Pet Rocks Don't Snore Every ten years or so I rewrap my pet rock In tin foil to keep it safe and secure Then place it back in freezer storage Unwanted guests visit after midnight sometimes They steal my rock from cold storage while I sleep Night stalkers think, it is a roll worth buttering and eating Place it in the microwave to thaw it But it won’t thaw At breakfast they complain to me I tell them to dip it in their coffee Go ahead! Dunk it! Dunk it some more! I say After breaking teeth A dentist visit is in order Unwanted guests leave my rock in peace Learning it is not a treat Pet rocks don’t go to war More importantly, they don’t snore They are kept in the refrigerator That is what pet rocks are for

this is BRILLIANT. There are nights that I want a magic fairy to come along and change Snickers into a pet ROCK. FAVE on this one.

Hi Andrea, Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was in a 60's kind of mood and a silly frame of mind, as is evidenced here. Snickers are great! I understand Snickers and rocks are not good for the teeth though. Have a wonderful day. Take care. Earl

Hi Jan, Thank you. Glad you liked it. The best part is, they are freezer friendly. I never owned a pet rock. I thought it would be a fun subject to play with. I felt sorry for the poor unwanted guest who tried to soften up the rock in his coffee. Dentists bills can be costly. I just wrote another silly poem about pies, politics and birds that I thought you might enjoy. Have a wonderful week end. Take care. Earl
