Pet Casino

No one knows
  what to do
If I breathe in
  my poodle's poo

Can I shake paws
  with my cat
If I rub her tummy
  Is there a caveat

And God protect me
  from the friendly St. Bernard
Who slobbers all over me
  I need a bodyguard

In fraught times like this
  Where to turn for advice
Seems the truth really is
  We're just rolling the dice

Hello Gershon … it appears cuddling your pet cat or dog is safer than standing beside another human now - thanks Gershon - Lindsay

Nice one. I like pets but can’t be bothered spending too much time in their care. Need someone else to do that for me.

Ah, the big crap game of life. Just keep rolling one day at a time, keep your pets close by for good luck and perhaps some solace when we occasionally crap out.

Thanks for perceiving what I tried to accomplish, i.e., inject some humor into a serious issue. Thanks, Gershon

Gershon, I love these references to the devout caregivers our pets are or hope to be. St Bernards are true blue and stout of heart. -Richard

Yes, the St. Bernard has a well deserved reputation. Stay safe, Richard, and thank you for your thoughtful comment. Best always, Gershon

May they all be 'Hershey kisses,' Michelle. Thanks, Gershon
